Regarding our knitting machines

Our Raschel machines are old-model knitting machines. Our products, knitted by these machines, are very soft and elastic, employing low speeds and low yarn tension. Consequently, the finished products are very smooth and comfortable for wearing next to the skin.

COLOR

Color - Use of Colors -

Japanese people are deeply conscious of the changing seasons and find beauty in nature and human life as influenced by the seasons. The coloring found in “kasane” originated in the 8th century, during the Japanese Heian Era. This form of coloration represents the completion of the traditional Japanese use of colors and has influenced the costumes seen in No and Kabuki arts, and in the traditional art known as “yuzen” or printing on cloth. This same use of colors can be found in the heart of “zen” and the “wabi sabi” of the Japanese tea ceremony.

Just as the use of color by traditional Japanese Ukiyoe painters such as Utamaro and others has influenced Western Impressionist painters such as Monet, Van Gogh, and others in the 19th and 20th centuries, more recently, the use of color in modern Japanese manga culture has also become popular in Europe. These trendy colors have been adopted in society and have helped to bring about a change in lifestyle and a transformation to a new era.

The colors used in our products are harmonious with both European and Japanese colors, with an accent on current color trends.
